16) PGA Tour Internship
- This internship is offered in Ponte Verda, Florida. The PGA TOUR Diversity Internship Program is open to all qualified college students, regardless of ethnicity and is committed to attaining greater diversity within our organization, as well as, the golf industry. Our internships are designed to expose college students to the business side of golf that supports one of the world's leading sports brands -- the PGA TOUR. While a love of the game is certainly appreciated, knowing how to play is not a prerequisite for the internship. Your internship experience will be enhanced by activities and projects that will allow you to gain a full picture of how the PGA TOUR and other golf organizations work together to support our players, charities and events on the PGA TOUR, Champions Tour and the Nationwide Tour.
10-12 week, full-time, paid internship

A rising junior, rising or graduating senior, or graduate student at an accredited four-year college or university.
Currently enrolled as a full-time undergraduate or graduate student in good standing.
Eligible to work in the United States. International students must obtain all visas and employment authorizations prior to the start of an internship. Contact the international advisor at your school several months prior to the start of an internship for work authorization requirements.
Carry a cumulative minimum GPA of 2.8 or better on a 4.0 scale.
17) Asheville Tourists Baseball Club Internship
This internship is offered in Asheville, North Carolina
- Description/Responsibilities: The General Intern will place a large emphasis on sales while gaining experience through the following three rotations: Food & Beverage, Marketing and Merchandise, and Stadium Operations. Team Members that we hire perform many different tasks to ensure our guest's experience at McCormick Field. Some of the task you will be asked to perform as a General Intern are less glamorous and exciting than others, but as a General Intern with the Asheville Tourists, you realize they all need to be done.
18) Peninsula Pirates Baseball Club Media Relations Internship
-This internship is offered in Hampton, Virginia
Assist with researching, writing and editing portions of the team?s publications.
Assist with preparing stats and information for press releases.
Assist with the maintenance and updating of team website on a daily and nightly basis.
Assist with the preparation of game notes on a game-by-game basis.
Assist with the setup and operation of the press box during games.
Assist other departments with special projects as requested or needed.
Candidates should either be in the process of obtaining a bachelor?s degree, or have recently acquired one.
Candidates currently pursuing a degree should be receiving college credit while conducting the internship.
Candidates must be available for 40 hours per week and will be required to work weeknights and weekends.
The internship begins no later than May and lasts until the end of the season or until the individual candidate needs to return to school. However, fall and spring semester internships are available as well.
Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis through the start of the season.
19) Washington Mystics Corporate Partnerships Internship
This internship is offered in Washington, DC
Assist Corporate Partnerships team with promotional item organization and distribution.
College student; junior or senior with a Business, Marketing or Sales related major.
Desire to pursue a career in sports.
Self motivated, organized, and detail oriented.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Computer knowledge including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Flexibility to work long days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
20) Octagon Event Coordinator
This internship is offered in Charlotte, North Carolina
Required Qualifications:
Knowledge and understanding of sports and telecommunication marketing techniques.
Prefer a candidate with an interest in or major/degree in Sports Marketing or related field.
At least one previous marketing related internship/position preferred.
Ability to lift 25 lb. boxes/items and stand for up to eight hours at a time.
Excellent communication skills (both written and oral).
Strong ability to work as part of a team. Demonstrate initiative and solve problems independently.
Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Internet.
Responsibilities and Duties:
On-site event operations, production, and execution of a mobile marketing program at motorsports events.
Drive lead generation and brand awareness for the client's products and services.
Demonstrate the latest telecomm products/technologies while distributing collateral materials to consumers.
Participation in presentation of show aspects and messaging as needed.
Management of on-site promotional staff, premium and collateral inventories.
Weekly reporting to management
Assist with implementation of special projects associated with the mobile marketing program, national and regional sponsorships, etc.
Extensive weekend travel and some holiday work required.
Minimum of seven hours of office work per week and attendance at weekly team meeting required.
Assist Customer Hosting and Activation teams as needed
Other related duties/projects as assigned.
