Personal Sports Biography

Sports Participation Background:

  • I was introduced to sports by my father in my living room when I was 2 years old. He bought me a tee, ball, and a plastic bat for Christmas. He set it up for me not expecting me to be able to hit it. I hit it and proceeded to shatter the window in the back of the living room.
  • I never played informal non-competitive sports as a child.
  • Yes I did play formal youth/competitive sports as a child. I played baseball, basketball, and soccer.
  • I have played since i was 3 years old.
  • I have several memorable positive experiences and not very many negative ones. My highest point in my sports history has to be my first college at bat here at Reinhardt University. I hit a solo homerun to right field against Bluefield College in my very first college at bat. My lowest point would have to be the day I found out I had to have Labrum surgery.
  • Now, I play college baseball at RU.

Contemporary Sports Issues
  • Cam Newton's pay for play scandal is very interesting to me right now. I just want the truth to come out and for everything to be set straight.
  • Bruce Pearl's suspension is also interesting to me right now considering I am a huge Tennessee basketball fan.
  • Also, Terrell Pryor's selling of his merchandise is very interesting to me right now. I am interested to see if he will return for his senior year to Ohio St.
  • Chipper Jones is very significant as an athlete to me. He has been my favorite player since I can remember, and I have and still do wear his number.
  • Josh Hamilton and his life changes are also very significant to me. What a turn around and a positive impact for God.
  • Tim Tebow and his impact on people is also very significant to me. He is an amazing athlete as well as Christian man.
